WPR Rebuttal Changes Format Next Week and Will be Preempted This Friday

Based on our shorter segments garnering thrice-or-higher the downloads of their longer kin, WPR Rebuttal has decided to downsize its podcasts: Briefer is better!

Unlike the traditional call-in shows, WPR Rebuttal realizes you don't have time to listen for a fixed duration at a specific time. You enjoy downloading our podcast for your leisure -- but don't like hunting around for the best parts! That's why:

1) WPR Rebuttal is now only one hour instead of two.

Our call-in period has also shifted to the halfway point of our former hours; that is, we're live from 12:30 p.m. through 1:30 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST). This continues lunch-time access for most aspiring callers, as well as streamlines the workflow of our one-man content producer.

2) Previews will be Wednesdays, and recaps shall be Fridays.

The halving of workload permits more expedient podcast preparation, which means WPR Rebuttal listeners can access notes, links, and elaborations relating to each show's topic a few days sooner than previously possible.

3) Downloadable MP3s of Podcasts are now linked directly from recap headings.

Although a cost-effective content delivery platform in most situations, BlogTalkRadio isn't very user-friendly to those who just want to pop in and listen! BTR all but hides the downloads, forcing most users to try and stream. However...

...BTR does not appear to stream when I click an episode title: Only a placeholder image appears, but nothing happens when I click the "play" button! (I checked my version of Flash -- that is -not- causing the problem; BTR is.)

WPR Rebuttal has thankfully engineered a workaround: Rather than visit the counter-intuitive, semi-functional BlogTalkRadio page for an episode, listeners can visit the recap page for a given episode and then click the title of the episode on that page to instantly access the downloadable MP3 of that podcast! Problem solved.
